India Produces over 70% of the worlds Basmati Rice. It is majorly grown in the states of Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Delhi, Uttarakhand, and Bihar. Basamati Rice is typically used in dishes such as pulao, pongal, biryani & fried rice etc. This premium variety of rice is largely exported to USA, Europe , Canada, Singapore,Australia, Malaysia, and Middle East countries such as Saudi Arabia, UAE, and Qatar. The requirement for Basamati Rice is more than other type of rice and there is no substitute for this type of rice.
